JUSTYNA
Originally from Poland, I first came to the UK to study 9 years ago, and quickly fell in love with Wales (and Pilates!). I have tried many classes in Cardiff desperately trying to improve my posture and gain awareness of my own body. One memorable day my friend dragged me to a pilates class in a friendly, little studio in Splott. After having a class with Helen Saunders, and then with Eric Butler, I knew Pilates is for me! Shortly after, I started my teacher training. And when Helen and Eric moved to France to start their new project 'The Field' (in short: old, French farm, pilates, dance, vegan food, etc,) I took over the studio. I always build my classes around the original principles described by Joseph Pilates: Centering, Concentration, Control, Precision, Breath, and Flow. Adding and modifying according to individual needs. I am a PMA certified instructor, and about to start new, exciting chapter of my training. |

SASHA
Originally from Sydney Australia, I came to London in 1994 to continue my dance training and graduated from Brunel University, Rambert School and became a qualified Pilates teacher, gaining a distinction from the Pilates Foundation in 1999. Having studied The Pilates Method for several years and after successfully rehabilitating a dance injury through Pilates, I decided to train to teach. I brought to my training an understanding of movement through different dance disciplines. I have a reputation of precision and accuracy in refinement of movement for professional dancers, athletes and rehabilitating clientele. I am known for being tenacious and enthusiastic with my clients’ development.
I promote self-accountability in health and fitness and I never tire of the awareness and excellence a Pilates studio brings the individual. After running the Pilates Foundation Workshop Committee I was invited to sit on the Pilates Foundation Board from 2009-2011. I am currently a member of their exam committee and a full Pilates Foundation Examiner.
I work to endorse and support the organisations’ aim to uphold the highest standards of teaching and teacher training in the Pilates Method in the UK, this year launching the first Pilates Mat Work Teacher Training in Wales! To date I have assisted in the training of 19 Pilates Teachers with a 100% successful pass rate.
I fell in love with Wales and moved to Cardiff in 2014. My interests include walking in West Wales, Millenium stadium rugby and exploring the creative music and history of the city, occasionally the night life of Cardiff!

JO
Originally from New Zealand, I started my journey working in fitness and health in 2000.
My work at the studio is a blend of the training I have received over the years in Pilates, yoga, training, functional movement, correctional exercise and postural restoration. Expect the unexpected!
I love my work and divide my time between teaching Pilates, yoga, personal training, massaging and reflexing feet and often a combo of more than one!
I’m very passionate about what I teach and practice what I preach daily in some form or other. I believe in the work I do, the fusion of disciplines and how they enhance each other providing a well rounded and balanced approach to strength, mobility, flexibility and functional movement with or without limitation.
When I’m not working I love cycling, skiing, climbing, watching rugby, travelling and food!

Ellie
I have been teaching movement in one form or another for the past 10 years. My foundation is in contemporary dance but I also teach Flying trapeze and most recently Pilates.
Pilates has enriched, clarified and expanded my understanding of movement. In early 2017 I completed my Pilates teacher training with Sasha (Pilates Foundation) and the experience gave me a greater understanding of anatomy and momentum, grounding a rich knowledge of how the body moves and experiences the world, especially through the use of breath.
As a teacher I have been told I am passionate, enthusiastic, patient, attentive and warm. In the studio I aim to support, nourish and nurture an understanding of how our unique bodies move. I hope to encourage individuals to explore the way their body moves, gaining awareness that supports and frees the body in daily movement.
